Mario Gotze sends message as Leeds transfer finalised

Leeds United have started planning for life in the Premier League and have made a move already.

Daniel Farke‘s side are top of the Championship with just four matches left to play and look like heavy favourites to secure a top-flight berth for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign.

Heavy upgrades will be required to the playing squad at Elland Road if they are to stay up next season and the latest move should increase their spending power in the summer transfer window.

Gotze and Koch react as Leeds exit confirmed

Rasmus Kristensen is set to exit Leeds after a £5.1million deal was confirmed with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the loanee on a permanent basis.

The German outfit took to Instagram to announce that the 27-year-old will remain with the Bundesliga club following the conclusion of his loan deal.

World Cup winner and current Frankfurt star Mario Gotze reacted by commenting with a clapping hands emoji.

Meanwhile, former Whites ace Robin Koch reacted with the same emoji, then a lovestruck eyes and a heart.

Leeds have vital summer ahead of them

Leeds’ chances of surviving in the top-flight is heavily dependent on their transfer business in the off-season, if they get it wrong, they could come straight back to the second tier.

The 49ers Enterprise group have to back Farke to improve the squad and the funds raised by Kristensen’s exit will help them to do so.

Although, they are making a loss from the £10m fee that they bought the Danish international for in 2022, it will help the budget for a crucial summer as they have recouped a fraction of that.

Given the struggles of the promoted sides in the top tier recently, with the gap between the divisions being higher than ever as shown by Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich likely to come straight back down, the Whites must invest properly.

Farke will need to find a way to avoid a similar fate and the transfer market is probably the best way, provided that his side can find the right quality for the right price.
