Marc Roca contract details emerge ahead of new Leeds United transfer development
Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is on the verge of a permanent move to Real Betis, with talks said to be in the final stages, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The Spanish site reported that the 27-year-old, who impressed during his loan spell at the La Liga club last season, is expected to sign a four-year contract.
“It has always been a priority, regardless of what happened with Guido,” said Betis’ sporting director Manu Fajardo.
He added: “The positions are close, so let’s hope it can happen soon.”
Despite having a contract with Leeds until 2026, Roca’s transfer will likely be finalised by next week, ending his two-year stay at Elland Road.
Marc Roca to sign off on Leeds United transfer
Roca’s move to Real Betis is a no-brainer for all parties involved.
During his loan spell last season, Roca impressed in his 37 appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists, becoming a key player in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.
Betis’ sporting director Fajardo stressed that securing Roca has always been a priority, highlighting his commitment and perfect fit for the team.
Despite Leeds holding a contract with Roca until 2026, the transfer is set to be finalised soon, ending his disappointing stint at Elland Road.
This move is also beneficial for the Whites, who are looking to rebuild as they attempt to bolster their promotion campaign.

For Betis, acquiring Roca permanently guarantees stability and quality in their midfield. Roca himself gains the opportunity to continue his career in La Liga, where he has already proven his worth and settled in well.
