Lucas Perri was clearly happy with how his summer exit went at Leeds United judging by a new development off the field.

The Brazilian was granted a move away from Elland Road just a year after arriving from Lyon in a deal worth around £15.6million.

Perri initially started as Leeds' first choice between the sticks in the Premier League, only to be usurped by Karl Darlow.

James Trafford's record move to Leeds in the summer meant a move away was always likely.

So that proved as he joined Torino on an initial loan which contains an option - not an obligation - to buy.

After playing for four different clubs in the past three years, Perri's agency has certainly been busy.

Lucas Perri makes personal decision over future

Perri only made the move to Lyon from Brazilian side Botafogo in 2024, so he has not had much time to settle at any of his past few clubs.

The fact the 28-year-old's loan clause only has an option to join permanently also does not help, as he could be back in West Yorkshire eight months from now.

But Perri is happy with the way his future has been handled, it seems, as he has signed on with LEFT Sports for another three years.

Perri shared an image via his personal Instagram story on Thursday night showing him signing a contract, with agency founder Leo Cornacini alongside him.

"It's been 10 years of partnership, my brother," Cornacini wrote. "Thank you for your trust. Let's go for 13 years together on our journey."

Cornacini and LEFT Sports may well be busy once again at the end of the season to find Perri another club judging by what's happened so far in Italy.

How has Lucas Perri performed for Torino so far?

Perri has largely been criticised for his Torino displays so far, with suggestions he arrived unfit.

That was put down to his lack of action at Leeds in the second half of last season when mainly watching on from the substitutes' bench.

Perri had his best game for Torino earlier this week, however, in a 3-0 win away at Parma.

Torino will have to pay £13.5m to sign Perri permanently should they wish, which is a reasonable sum all things considered.

That figure climbed after Marseille joined the hunt for Perri's signature late in the window.

If Perri manages to turn things around, there is no reason why that clause will not be triggered.

But if he underperforms, as he seemingly has done in most games so far, he will be back at Leeds next summer, even if just temporarily as the search for another club begins.
