Liverpool in Leeds United star Raphinha transfer mission as January stance shared
Liverpool are “running the rule” over Leeds United winger Raphinha, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The local Liverpool news outlet claims the 24-year-old Brazilian is being scouted by Jurgen Klopp’s side who want to sign an attacker.
However, a January move is “almost certainly” not on the cards.
Six more months?
It’s not a big stretch to assume that Raphinha will not be a Leeds player by the time next season rolls around.
Supporters don’t want to hear it written down or spoken out loud, but it’s a prospect they will all be fearing in their heads, and something that they are increasingly resigned to.

Raphinha enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign at Leeds as he scored six times and registered nine assists during the 2020/21 Premier League season after joining from Ligue 1 side Rennes.
This season, despite the West Yorkshire club struggling at the wrong end of the table, Raphinha has wowed with his performances, almost single-handedly dragging the Whites away from the relegation zone with six goals and one assist in 13 appearances.
He also made his debut for the Brazil national team in October, claiming two assists off the bench in a 3-1 win over Venezuela.
Five days later, he scored his first Brazil goal with a double against Uruguay as they won 4-1 in Manaus.
Such form will attract attention from the biggest clubs in Europe, including Liverpool, and he is surely destined to play in the Champions League next season.
It’s what his talents deserve, but it will take a big fee to take him from Leeds.
