Lewis O’Brien to snub Leeds United with multi-million Nottingham Forest deal lined up
Lewis O’Brien is set to “snub” Leeds United in favour of remaining with current side LAFC in a £7 million deal, according to The Sun.
The report from The Sun (3 November) claims that O’Brien is “set to sign” for the MLS club despite interest from several English clubs.
Leeds United and Hull City had been linked with a move for the Forest star but any hopes of achieving a deal look dead in the water.
Lewis O’Brien snub is a blow for Leeds United
O’Brien would have been a shrewd bit of business for Daniel Farke’s side but any deal looks increasingly unlikely.
The Forest midfielder has a wealth of experience in English football with over 100 Championship appearances. Many of which came with Middlesbrough where he spent the previous campaign on loan.
Nonetheless, Leeds will have to pursue other targets and ensure they acquire some signatures this January to boost their hopes of promotion or else they may fall behind some of their rivals.
The Whites currently find themselves three points behind league leaders Sunderland after the Black Cats were held to a goalless draw against QPR on Saturday, 2 November.

A 3-0 victory against Plymouth allowed Leeds to close the gap on the Wearsiders.
Leeds have been sounded as the favourites to win the title by both supporters and pundits across the EFL but their chances may hinge on their ability to strengthen their squad when the January transfer window opens.
