Leeds want to sign Mike Tresor after £16m Burnley transfer news
Leeds United could sign Burnley winger Mike Tresor after a £16million transfer reveal was made by Alan Nixon.
The Journalist reported on his patreon channel ReluctantNicko [29 December] that the player’s camp believes that the Whites are interested in the 25-year-old.
He claimed that there may be a hurdle to any potential move though, the Clarets owners want to see the Belgian play before any move is sanctioned and would not like to sell him to a promotion rival.
The former Genk man has not featured for Scott Parker’s side so far this season despite signing in the summer for a fee of £16m.
Tresor move does not make sense for Leeds United
A move for the Belgian makes little sense for Daniel Farke’s side as Tresor is primarily a left winger and the club are very well stocked in that position.
Wilfried Gnonto, Largie Ramazani and Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon have all enjoyed success on the left-flank for the Whites so far this season.
The Italian star has nine goal contributions, the Belgian youngster has four and the Israel international has six, so a move for another left-sided winger in the January transfer window is unlikely.

Another complication is the fact that the Clarets would not be willing to sanction a deal that would give their Championship promotion rivals an advantage in a razor-close race to the Premier League.
Also, Tresor is yet to play a minute this season, so he would not be ready to step in and help the Elland Road club’s promotion push straight away, he would need a mini pre-season to return to full match fitness.
Farke needs players who are available to make an immediate impact, there is no room for passengers as his side seeks to maintain their spot at the top of the Championship table and secure a place in the top flight next season.
In other Leeds news, a decision has been made in the Junior Firpo contract saga according to a former Leeds star.
