Leeds United want to sign Aaron Hickey this summer – report
Leeds United are interested in signing Bologna defender Aaron Hickey this summer, but face stiff Premier League competition for his signature according to 90min.
The 19-year-old full-back moved to Serie A from Hearts back in 2020 and has been excellent playing on both flanks, earning himself a first Scotland senior team call up recently.
That excellent form has now seen him linked with a move away from Italy and to England’s top flight, with over half the division reportedly interested according to a report.

The entire ‘big six’ plus Leeds, West Ham, Brighton, Southampton, Leicester and Brentford have all shown an interest in his development and availability, while Juventus, Napoli and Bayern Munich are said to be tracking him too.
It’s believed that Hickey is happy in Serie A, but he sees the next stage of his career taking place in the Premier League and the Whites are one of the interested parties.
Major
If Leeds want to sign Hickey this summer, then they first need to ensure they stay in the division or all hope will go out the window.
Their dramatic win on Friday night over Wolves went a long way towards securing their goal of staying a top flight side, as they opened up a seven point gap above the relegation zone.

They have played more games than the teams around them but points on the board is always better than games in hand, especially at that end of the table.
Should they stay up, Hickey is exactly the type of player they should be targeting. Young, talented, coachable and with plenty of room to improve, he would provide stiff competition and add quality to the side.
The club would need to make one hell of a sales pitch in order to snap him up ahead of some of the other interested parties, but Leeds is a massive club and Elland Road is historic so it wouldn’t be crazy.
