Leeds United want Jesurun Rak-Sakyi transfer after pre-season developments
Leeds United still want to sign Crystal Palace attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan before 30 August, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster has reported in its live blog [1 August, 18:16] that Leeds are in the hunt to sign the 21-year-old, who recently returned to the squad following a short illness, alongside Burnley and Sheffield United.
It comes after initial suggestions that initially staying at home for their USA pre-season tour was a big surprise (Alan Nixon, 30 July).
Rak-Sakyi to inject life into Leeds United?
It’s no secret that Leeds United have been busy this summer.
Unfortunately, the big news stories have come from their outgoings as opposed to major signings in their favour. First, Archie Gray departed, and now, Crysencio Summerville is on the verge of completing a move to West Ham [Fabrizio Romano].

Rak-Sakyi is the kind of talent who could inject some real excitement into Leeds’ activity in the final third.
He may have only featured six times for Palace in 2023/24 but in this pre-season, he’s already made an impact, scoring twice in a dominant 6-3 triumph over Crawley (CPFC).
When he did appear in the Premier League for the Eagles, he picked up a solid average rating of 6.75 (Sofascore). It’s not like he’s going to drag them kicking and screaming to promotion on his own, but he’s hungry to get consistent first-team opportunities – and he could be given that at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, David Ornstein has shared further details on the contract Summerville is set to sign at West Ham.
