Leeds United two major signings away from dream transfer window

Despite losing Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City and Raphinha to Barcelona (well almost), Leeds United can be very happy with the signings they’ve made this summer.

They’ve identified their targets and moved quickly to secure them. The squad now look a lot more balanced, and it has depth in almost every position.

However, the Whites are not done yet with their business, and it could get even better if they add a striker and a defender to their ranks.

The departure of Raphinha to Barcelona is seen as one of the success stories of the Victor Orta recruitment policy.

According to INews (13 July), Leeds have banked £50m, with a potential for £5m in add-ons for Raphinha.

The Whites have already signed a replacement for the Brazilian, with Luis Sinisterra joining the club from Feyenoord.

They have added depth in midfield, but Marsch still needs at least three more signings to give the squad a solid shape for the upcoming season.

INews suggests that the next priority for Leeds will be to sign a striker, a player who can provide strong competition to Patrick Bamford.

Paris Saint-Germain prospect Arnaud Kalimuendo, who scored 12 goals on loan at Lens last year has emerged as one of the targets, while exciting Belgium international striker Charles De Ketelaere is the one the Whites want badly.

There is also a need to add a left-back this summer. Stuart Dallas won’t make it to the start of the season as he is recovering from injury, while Junior Firpo is also out injured.

So, signing a left-back is a must. If Leeds can manage to bring two quality players in these two positions, it will be seen as a dream summer transfer window for the club.

In other Leeds United news, this £40,000-a-week Leeds player is being hidden from pre-season footage as the club gets ready to get rid of him.
