Leeds United transfer talks fail with Mohamed Camara as he returns to Red Bull Salzburg training
Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara has returned to training after “failed transfer talks” with Leeds United, according to Salzburger Nachrichten.
The Austrian newspaper reported via their print edition on Friday (8 July, page 18) that Camara, 22, will continue pre-season training with Salzburg for now.
It is understood that the Mali international’s setback with Leeds may have only “postponed” his exit from Salzburg, which suggests that he’s still expected to leave the Austrian champions at some point this summer.

However, it doesn’t look as though he’ll be signing for Leeds.
Big shame
Camara seems like he would have been a great new signing for Leeds.
Jesse Marsch has already raided his former club Salzburg for Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson, who are two players that could work out to be good signings for the Whites.
But Camara just feels as though he would have been a good replacement for Kalvin Phillips.
Camara is a 22-year-old Mali international who played 36 times in all competitions for Salzburg last season.
He seemed as though he was keen on a move to Elland Road based on his social media activity but unfortunately for him and unfortunately for Leeds, a move has broken down.

We assume that’s because Marsch and Victor Orta have signed Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig instead.
The USA international, 23, has joined for £20million and is expected to fill the void left by Phillips, 26, after he left Elland Road to join Manchester City.
The jury is out on Adams and we’ll wait to pass judgement on the American until he’s played a few games for the Yorkshire giants.
However, we do feel as though Camara might have been a better signing.
In other Leeds United news, this Whites star has informed the club he refuses to participate in pre-season preparations.
