Leeds United transfer round-up: Archer latest, late exit fee now agreed
Leeds United now have just over a day to complete any transfer business they’d like to before the 3 February deadline strikes.
The last few weeks have been fairly positive for Daniel Farke and his men with the West Yorkshire outfit sitting comfortably at the top of the Championship table.
Rumours have obviously emerged from Elland Road as the window has gone on with the German failing to rule out any potential dealings, meaning one or two moves could potentially be on.
Deadline day is now fast approaching so, with that in mind, MOT Leeds News have rounded up all the news from 2 February.
Leeds United eyeing up Armenian playmaker
Most fans and pundits would argue that Leeds’ midfield has been one of the most impressive areas of their team this season with the likes of Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell performing to extremely high standards.
However, that hasn’t stopped the Whites from being linked with a move for Krasnodar playmaker, Eduard Spertsyan [Ivan Karpov, 2 February].
The 24-year-old has played 25 times for the Russian outfit this season and has managed to contribute to nine goals in that time, with fellow Championship side Sunderland also being linked with an interest.
Leeds United are not making a move for Marc Guiu
Plenty of updates emerged on Leeds’ supposed pursuit of Chelsea talisman Guiu but in the end, it turns out the Whites weren’t interested in the Spaniard [David Anderson, 2 February].
At the moment, the youngster isn’t being targeted by Leeds despite their clear need for a new number nine.
Guiu has been linked with a handful of second-tier clubs in the winter window but it seems his next destination won’t be in West Yorkshire.

Daniel Farke accepts bid for Jeremiah Mullen
While Farke said that the winter window would likely be a quiet one for Leeds, youth gem Jerimiah Mullen has been shown the exit door after the Whites accepted a bid from Dunfermline.
The fee agreed upon is undisclosed but the Yorkshire Evening Post (2 February) reports that it’s unlikely to be a substantial deal.
Mullen’s switch is set to go through before the 3 February deadline strikes at 11pm.
Leeds United are not giving up on Cameron Archer just yet
The name that most Leeds fans will be excited to hear an update on is that of Cameron Archer’s, the Southampton talisman has recently been linked with an Elland Road switch after being left out of Ivan Juric’s plans since his arrival.
The Englishman hasn’t had the best of times with the Premier League side this season, however, now that the Saints could be going back in for Danny Ings [David Anderson, 2 February], a door could open for the former Aston Villa man to exit.
However, if Leeds don’t end up with the striker leading their line by 11pm on 3 February, it feels like they’ll be in safe hands as they have just beaten Cardiff 7-0 with Joel Piroe even bagging himself a brace.
Jack Harrison could be on the move once again
Even though Jack Harrison is currently plying his trade for Everton in the top flight, Fulham have seemingly shown an interest in acquiring the services of the Englishman [Daily Mail, 2 February].
The Cottagers are keeping an eye on the former Manchester City man despite claims that he’s likely to stay at Goodison Park for the remainder of his loan deal.
Harrison has been linked with a premature return to Elland Road in the winter window but nothing ever came to fruition.
In other Leeds news, one of Daniel Farke’s star men could lose his starting XI spot after the news that emerged from Elland Road today.
