Leeds United transfer news: Raphinha to jet into Barcelona on Wednesday for medical
Leeds United star Raphinha will fly to Barcelona on Wednesday 13 July ahead of completing his move to the Nou Camp, according to Brazilian journalist Raisa Simplicio.
Writing via her personal Twitter account on 12 July, the Goal Brazil reporter claimed that Raphinha, 25, will be greeted at Barca by his agent Deco and will then undergo a medical.
It is understood that the Brazil international will then sign a contract with the La Liga club to finalise his long-anticipated move away from Leeds.
Simplicio said: “Raphinha should leave for Barcelona tomorrow (Wednesday).
“The striker is expected to undergo medical tests and sign a contract with Barça.
“Deco will accompany the player on arrival at the club.”

Well, it sure looks as though Raphinha’s time as a Leeds United player is up.
Based on his social media activity, Raphinha spent Tuesday (12 July) at Thorp Arch in preparation for next season with the rest of the squad in Australia.
Fabrizio Romano, Deco and Dani Alves were among those replying to the Brazilian’s post, funnily enough.
But with a medical set to take place in Spain on Wednesday, Raphinha’s time at Leeds is coming to an end and those two years he’s spent with us have been a blast.
We’ve endured the real highs and lows with Raphinha.
His reaction after the games against Brighton and Brentford at the end of last season just about sums up the emotional rollercoaster he’s had to go through with us.
But we’ve done it all together and while we’re glad this deal has finally gone though, we’re obviously going to miss the Brazilian maestro.
Leeds are a worse team without him and Barca are a better team with him.
Good luck, Raph.
