Leeds United transfer news emerges amid new Ryan Kent twist

Ryan Kent, who made a name for himself at Rangers, is admired by Leeds United and Leyton Orient have also joined the chase, according to the Scottish Sun.

The news outlet reported on 27 October that the 27-year-old may be on his way back to England with Orient launching an inquiry and he has admirers at Elland Road.

Kent is now a free agent after Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce tore up his contract last week and can train right away before officially signing in January.

Leeds United must consider Ryan Kent’s services in January

Given Kent’s history of impactful performances, particularly during his time at Rangers where he was pivotal in their title-winning campaign, Leeds should seriously consider acquiring his services in January.

The Englishman’s experience in high-pressure games, like those in the Europa League and against Celtic, could be invaluable for the Whites as they aim to secure a return to the Premier League.

His versatility across the forward line, coupled with his ability to deliver in critical matches, aligns well with Leeds’ aggressive, forward-thinking style under Daniel Farke.

Moreover, Leeds’ immediate need for a creative spark in midfield or attack, highlighted by recent injuries and transfer activities, makes Kent an attractive option.

Compared to Leyton Orient, the Whites’ Championship status offers a higher platform for Kent’s ambitions, potentially leading to Premier League football, which could be more appealing than Orient’s League Two aspirations.

This, combined with Leeds’ infrastructure for player development and higher wage capacity, positions them as a more viable and appealing destination for Kent.
