Journalist shares reaction Leeds United linked with late move for Rangers attacker Ryan Kent
Alan Nixon believes that Rangers qualifying for the Champions League and Marcelo Bielsa not being at Leeds United means Ryan Kent is unlikely to move.
The Sun journalist reacted as the Daily Mail broke the news that the Whites were thinking of reigniting their interest in the English attacker.
Kent has been linked with a move to Elland Road last summer as well, but much like then, a move does not seem to be imminent, as things stand.
Nixon wrote on Twitter, “Rangers in Champions League group stages … and Bielsa left I believe.”
Not happening
Signing Kent after Rangers qualified for the Champions League is going to be extremely difficult and to be honest, he may not even be guaranteed playing time at Elland Road.

Leeds have signed Brenden Aaronson who has been doing well on the right and when Luis Sinisterra starts regularly, the American will play as a number 10.
On the left flank, Jack Harrison is virtually undroppable so they really do not need Kent.
The chance to sign him now seems to have gone as Bielsa was the one who appeared keen on bringing him to Elland Road.
This summer, the links have not really been concrete and if anything, Leeds are going to push for a move for a striker and not a wide attacker.
Signing an upgrade on Patrick Bamford is imperative as his injury issues have been recurring since the start of last season and there are no guarantees that Rodrigo will maintain this rich vein of form.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites could make a final push for an international striker after he was left out of his side’s matchday squad last weekend.
