Real Betis president Angel Haro has insisted that it is almost 100 per cent certain Leeds United loanee Marc Roca will continue to play for the Spanish club.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan with the La Liga side, making 37 appearances in all competitions and reports suggest Betis have already agreed to extend his loan spell for another season [El Des Marque, 4 June].

Roca is even believed to have bought a new house in Spain and while Haro appears to be certain the Whites midfielder will return this summer, he did admit that it may not be another loan switch.

As quoted by the Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte (6 June) he said: "Roca continues almost 100 per cent, loaned or with another formula."

Will Marco Roca return to Leeds United during the summer transfer window?

Even the most optimistic of Leeds United fans wouldn't have expected Roca to return to Elland Road this summer. The midfielder didn't exactly hang around following the Whites' relegation from the Premier League and that wasn't going to change this summer.

Leeds would have probably liked to have got the 27-year-old off of their books permanently this summer, but it seems as though they may have to settle for another loan spell with Roca's contract allowing him to leave temporarily.

Although nothing has yet been confirmed by either club, it is obvious from Haro's comments that he is genuinely confident a deal will be reached sooner rather than later. It is probably just a case of putting the finishing touches on the contract.

Maybe, Leeds may be able to push Betis into making the move permanent and therefore coughing up a transfer fee, but at this moment in time, another loan spell feels more likely than any other solution that could be found.

Hopefully, a resolution can be found sooner rather than later so the Whites can begin focussing on incomings rather than outgoings.
