Leeds United transfer news as £2.1m verdict for Liam Millar is shared
Leeds United may have to pay upwards of £2.1million to acquire the services of Liam Millar this summer, according to Nau.
The Swiss outlet goes on to say that the Whites have “expressed interest” in the former Preston loanee following a solid 2023/24 Championship campaign.
The West Yorkshire outfit aren’t the only one vying for the transfer of the Canadian as the recently relegated Sheffield United have also thrown their hat into the ring for the attacker.
How likely is Liam Millar to join Leeds United this summer
Following a solid season in the Championship with Preston last term, Millar is understandably quite a hot topic at the moment.
The former Liverpool man managed to garner five goals and five assists in 35 appearances in the second tier and helped Preston break into the top half of the table.
By trade, the Canada international is a striker – but – he can also be deployed on either wing.
This would not only make him an ideal replacement for the potentially outgoing Crysencio Summerville [Ben Jacobs, 24 June] but would also give the Whites more options tactically.

Indeed, the shoes of the Netherlands youth international are big ones to fill, but, Millar would be a solid option that could well develop into a player of that quality in due course.
Should a transfer occur, a long-term deal will likely be what Millar is after [The Athletic, 23 June] which would suit Leeds because, as shown by Summerville, given time young players can blossom and fulfil potential many didn’t know they had.
