
Leeds United to sign Manor Solomon from Tottenham after Dutch hijack attempt fails
Manor Solomon’s move to Leeds United was subject to a hijack attempt from a Dutch club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported via X on 27 August that the Tottenham attacker will sign for the Whites the same day after the rival club from Europe was overcome.
A medical was reportedly already completed over the weekend [Shay Lugassi, 25 August] and the Israeli is set to join on a loan without an option to buy [David Ornstein, 26 August].
He follows Largie Ramazani from Almeria as attacking reinforcements after the loss of star men Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter.

Daniel Farke will hope Solomon can have the same sort of impact at Elland Road as the last loanee to arrive from Tottenham.
Joe Rodon quickly became crucial last season and has returned on a permanent transfer this summer after Archie Gray moved in the opposite direction.
Once the 25-year-old is confirmed the attacking options will be looking stronger again, but it will be big shoes to fill for Ramazani and Solomon after Rutter and Summerville’s exits.
The 49ers appear to be active in the final days of the window with the cash brought in from numerous exits this summer, although they are cutting it fine to get everything done before 30 August.
A pair of last summer’s targets are back on the agenda again after a bid was made at Sheffield United for Gustavo Hamer [The Star, 26 August], having already brought in Jayden Bogle from Bramall Lane.
And Max Aarons is also a target again [Yorkshire Evening Post, 26 August] after his Elland Road move was itself hijacked a year ago by Bournemouth.
