Leeds United to complete Junior Firpo signing this week
Leeds United will complete the signing of left-back Junior Firpo this week with the soon-to-be-former Barcelona ace in England, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reports that Firpo, 24, is already in Leeds ahead of a £12.8million transfer from Barca.
It is understood that he’s set to undergo a medical but Sport has recently reported that Firpo will have to quarantine between five and 10 days before he can complete the final stages of his transfer.

Another deal about to be done
Leeds have already completed a couple of transfers before this one with Firpo.
Amari Miller joined up with the Whites last week when the young attacker signed from Birmingham – although he’s expected to play for the Under-23s next season.
But the major transfer already done is the one for Jack Harrison, who’s finally completed a move to Elland Road from Manchester City on a permanent basis.
Harrison’s three-year loan stint in West Yorkshire was a huge success and we’ve now managed to land the English winger for £11million.
Yes, that’s right. BBC Sport reports the deal for Harrison cost just £11million.
Firpo looks set to join up with the White for slightly more than that so if we use transfer valuations to set expectations, we have very high hopes for the former Real Betis ace.
Firpo and Harrison will more than likely be trusted to operate on the left-flank together next season and we cannot wait to see what the duo can do.
Hopefully we’ll be a bit more defensively solid with Firpo there instead of Ezgjan Alioski so it’s a very promising transfer.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are exploring how to sign yet another player from Spain.
