Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr has reportedly completed his medical at Aston Villa amid links with Leeds United.

According to Foot Mercato, the 24-year-old was close to moving to Elland Road this summer, but is now headed to Villa Park.

He will be signing a four-year deal there and the Villans will be shelling out a fee in the region of £24million.

Missed opportunity?

Sarr may not be an out-and-out striker but he can play all across the front three and would've added something of value to this Leeds side.

However, he may have preferences for playing out wide and he's unlikely to be a guaranteed starter there.

It does not make sense for Leeds to buy another winger when they've got to sign another striker and a left-back before the window ends.

Had they not signed Brenden Aaronson or Luis Sinisterra, then it would've made sense to prioritise a move for the Watford attacker.

His imminent move to Villa Park should hopefully put an end to all the speculation linking him with a switch to West Yorkshire.

It's time Victor Orta and co get Jesse Marsch the striker he deserves as the results thus far have proven that he's the right man for the job and with the ideal players he can make this Leeds side a force.

Their performance against Chelsea showed that they're not going to bend over against the big boys and will give each side a run for their money.
