Leeds United Super Fans fume at links to Eddie Nketiah

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Leeds Insider Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road…

Leeds United have once again been linked with a move for Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah in the January window.

That’s according to TMW on their website who suggest that the Whites have made contact over re-signing the England international.

With his contract running down at The Emirates, the Gunners could be left with a decision to make in January over a cheaper deal.

Nketiah divided opinion during his loan spell at Elland Road a couple of years ago in the Championship, returning to Arsenal midway through the season.

The England youth international complained about his playing minutes and lack of starts, something which may remain the same at this time.

Patrick Bamford has been struggling with injuries this season, though, and the door has opened for another striker – something Leeds really don’t have at this moment.

The youngster scored in the Carabao Cup against the Whites last month, and could now seal a move back to West Yorkshire.

We asked our Super Fans over on the Leeds Insider Facebook page if they would welcome Nketiah back to Elland Road.

The response was overwhelming, with the majority insisting that the Whites should run as far away from the deal as possible in January and beyond.

Here’s what they said below…

Based on this reaction, it wouldn’t go down well with most but at least it would add much-needed reinforcements in the final third.
