Leeds United still in for Diangana as preferred West Brom exit route named
Leeds United have received an update on their pursuit of West Brom ace Grady Diangana.
After promotion was secured on Easter Monday, all eyes now turn to the transfer window as Leeds prepare for Premier League football.
There is already uncertainty going into the summer as reports suggest that Leeds could sack Daniel Farke.
However, while the managerial position remains ambiguous at the Yorkshire side, this has not stopped them from being linked with potential transfers.
Recently, Leeds were linked with Diangana, and an update has now emerged on their pursuit of the Championship ace.

Diangana prefers move to Freiburg over Leeds United
Diangana is no doubt a player in demand this summer. The Baggies can no longer be promoted to the Premier League this season after a late collapse in form saw them fall out of the playoffs.
This has presented an opportunity for multiple clubs to try and tempt some of their biggest stars away from the Hawthorns.
Diangana is easily one of the Baggies’ biggest stars. The Congolese international has seven goal contributions in 33 matches so far and has been one of West Brom’s most eye-catching players.

However, despite Leeds United’s interest in the attacking midfielder, they have now received a blow in their pursuit.
According to AfricaFoot (26 April), the 27-year-old would prefer a move to German side Freiburg over the Peacocks when his contract expires this summer.

Leeds United must move on from Diangana
While a move for Diangana this summer would be smart business, he is not a player who will keep Leeds up next season.
For the past two years, it has been proven that signing players from the Championship does not succeed.
Luton and Ipswich are the most obvious examples, with both clubs being relegated in the last two campaigns.
Leeds must look abroad or in the Premier League if they are to successfully avoid the drop.
Moves such as Abdoulaye Doucoure’s proposed transfer to Leeds are much more encouraging as a player with his experience would prove to be vital.
Hopefully, over the next few weeks, the Yorkshire club have a clear picture on who their main targets are.
