Leeds could pull off a swoop for West Brom star Grady Diangana in the summer.

Daniel Farke's side are hoping to secure a return to the Premier League but currently find themselves out of the automatic promotion places after the 1-1 draw with Luton (5 April).

However, planning for the future continues despite the uncertainty over what division the Whites will be playing in next season.

Leeds line up Diangana swoop as West Brom exit looms

Leeds are well-stacked with Dan James and Manor Solomon on the wings but it never hurts to have more quality attacking options at your disposal and the latter is currently set to leave when his loan deal expires.

A report from The Sun's print edition (page 55, 6 April) claims that Diangana is holding off on a move to a Major League Soccer side with hope that Leeds and Wolves increase their interest in him.

It states that two American sides have already made an offer to the former West Ham winger, who is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Diangana could be a great signing for Leeds

While he has not enjoyed his finest season, notching just four goals and two assists in 30 matches this season, Diangana could be a great value signing for the Whites.

He has been restricted to 13 starts and has been in and out of both Carlos Corberan and Tony Mowbray's plans at the Hawthorns.

Diangana has had limited impact this season.

Last campaign, the 26-year-old notched seven goals and eight assists in 38 Championship matches and that is a much better indication of his abilities.

Given the fact that he would be available for free, it would leave Farke free to strengthen other areas while having an extra body to compete for a starting spot in his front three.

Obviously, a lot of the Elland Road outfit's business will decided by what division that they are in next season, with promotion yet to be confirmed but a deal Diangana makes sense whichever tier that they are in because he would not cost any money in terms of a transfer fee and is a solid option on the pitch.
