Leeds United star Tyler Adams could be willing to stay at Elland Road despite PL interest
Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams could be willing to stay at Elland Road despite interest from Premier League clubs, according to Alex Crook.
The US international has been strongly linked with a switch away from West Yorkshire this summer, with the Athletic reporting on 2 August that Chelsea are considering a move for the 24-year-old, who has a £20million release clause.
But talkSPORT journalist Crook told GiveMeSport on 2 August that the midfielder could be willing to remain with the Whites to help them in their bid to gain promotion back up to the top flight in the upcoming campaign.

“I think they might struggle to hold onto him, but I think the indications from him are that he is actually willing to stay and try to help them get back up,” said Crook.
“If they keep Adams, Harrison and Gnonto, and get Patrick Bamford back to fitness, I think they’ve got a chance of going back up.
“But I would put Leicester and probably Southampton, although they need a striker, in a slightly stronger position in terms of bouncing straight back.”
Twist
This would be a dramatic twist in Leeds’ bid to try and keep hold of their best players as they look to forge a push for promotion with the start of the new season just days away.
Keeping hold of Adams would a massive statement as it shows the club still has plenty of positive things going for it to be able to persuade top players to remain at Elland Road despite being in the Championship.
It does still appear as it could be unlikely the American will be wearing the Whites shirt at the end of the month, though, given the reported interest in him.

If Chelsea do come in and make an offer for Adams, then the Leeds hierarchy is going to have an extremely difficult job of trying to keep him at the club.
But if they do manage to pull it off and a few more of their best players decide to stay on and fight for promotion, then the Whites will be very well placed to mount a serious title challenge next season.
