Leeds United: Raphinha paperwork to be signed on Wednesday to complete Barcelona transfer
Raphinha’s move from Leeds United to Barcelona is now a “done deal”, according to Italian sports journalist Gianluigi Longari.
Writing via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night (12 July), the SportItalia reporter claimed that on Wednesday (13 July), the paperwork will be signed to rubbers-stamp the 25-year-old’s move to the Nou Camp.
Longari adds that the deal that sees the Brazil international move to Spain is worth £48.9million up front with a further £5.9million being paid in add-ons.
Obrigado, Raphinha
We’re going to miss this guy.
Raphinha has been an absolute gem of a player to watch over the last two years and Leeds are definitely going to be a worse team without the Brazilian.
However, he’s not irreplaceable.
Whether Luis Sinisterra is seen as a replacement for Raphinha or not, Victor Orta has already shown he can dig out a top winger from European football and turn him into gold.
What’s interesting about Sinisterra is that he’s a left-winger.

Raphinha, as every Leeds fan should know, is a right-winger and didn’t really feature on the left at all.
Sinisterra has played on the right in his career so is Jesse Marsch going to try and mould him into a right-sided player?
Or can we expect someone else to come in?
Of course, Jack Harrison has also been linked with a move away from Leeds this summer so it wouldn’t be a total shock if he left and Sinisterra was his eventual replacement.
In other Leeds United news, this £40,000-a-week Leeds player is being hidden from pre-season footage as the club gets ready to get rid of him.
