Leeds United: Harry Gray ‘being pushed’ to stay at Elland Road amid Manchester City transfer interest

The progress of Leeds United youngster Harry Gray is best served by staying at Elland Road, according to TEAMtalk.

The publication reported on its website on Wednesday (15 November) that the attacker is being pushed to remain in West Yorkshire amid interest in his services.

TEAMtalk reported on Tuesday (14 November) that Manchester City are interested in signing the Leeds Under-18 striker.

Stay or go?

Gray might just face a great conundrum over the coming months, with the youngster clearly set for a bright future. But it remains to be seen where he will be playing his football next season, with Premier League giants Manchester City going to be hard to turn down if indeed they do come in for his services.

Making the decision more difficult could be the current situation involving two of his Leeds teammates. First and foremost, his older brother and first-team star Archie Gray is attracting interest from several European giants, such as Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund, according to TEAMtalk.

Secondly, the Etihad club have reportedly agreed to snap up Whites youngster Finlay Gorman, with a seven-figure fee agreed between the two clubs [The Athletic, 13 November].

But while the lure of potentially playing under Pep Guardiola would be almost impossible to turn down, perhaps the younger Gray brother is best staying at Elland Road at this very early stage of his career.

In other Leeds United news, one Whites ace sent a two-word message to a player after he made his Champions League debut recently.
