Leeds United have been boosted in their pursuit of Burnley forward Zian Flemming.

The Whites have been keeping tabs on the striker since May, and could soon make their move.

Daniel Farke is keen to add another striker to his ranks, as seen in the links to RB Leipzig's Conrad Harder.

However, Farke may be drawn to the fact that Flemming has Premier League experience already, and how he has started the season on top form.

Now, the Burnley star has made his intentions clear ahead of Tuesday's deadline, and it's only good news for Leeds.

Zian Flemming tells Burnley his desire amid Leeds links

Leeds are keen on signing Flemming, with several other Premier League clubs also said to be interested.

Burnley manager Nicky Hayen is under early pressure at Turf Moor, failing to lead the Clarets to a win in any of their first three Championship games.

Now, Burnley could be destined for more doom and gloom, as Flemming - hailed as "incredible" by caretaker Michael Jackson last season - has told the club his desire to leave.

According to an update from talkSPORT journalist Ben Jacobs on Sunday night, the forward has told the Clarets of his aspirations to go back to the Premier League or another top-flight division in Europe ahead of the deadline.

Lille have emerged as frontrunners, though club-to-club talks have proven difficult.

Leeds now have the chance to swoop in and help fulfil his dreams of returning to the big time.

How much would Flemming cost Leeds?

Flemming managed to get double figures in the Premier League last season, and is far too good for the second tier.

He scored a brace in Burnley's season-opening draw against West Ham, but may not be too expensive.

Transfermarkt value the former Millwall man at £10.2million, a fee that would not be too much at all for Leeds.

But whether or not that would actually be enough to convince Burnley to sell is another matter.
