Leeds United eye Khuliso Mudau transfer amid Burnley news

Leeds United are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau in January, according to SNL24.

The news outlet reported on 6 December that Mudau – capped 19 times by South Africa – has “attracted attention” from the Championship side.

It is said the 29-year-old full-back has previously attracted interest from Leeds’ Championship rivals Burnley.

Leeds United may be more active in January than expected

While it’s very common for managers to play down the importance of the January window, it may be one that Leeds look to utilise to its full potential.

Of course, claiming the window will be of great importance wouldn’t go down well with your own players so it’s crucial to keep it under wraps.

With that said, Mudau is one of several players to have already been linked with a switch to Elland Road, with many of those rumours surfacing around foreign players as the Whites look to cast their net wide for recruitments.

Dor Turgmen is another player to have been linked with a move to Leeds (Sport5), occupying a perhaps more important role in what the Whites must acquire in January.

Mudau is a player with vast experience at 29 years old albeit having played the entirety of his career in South Africa and could prove to be a neat pickup for the promotion hopefuls.

In other Leeds United news, a recent injury update could be as “major” as anything in January.
