Leeds United could lose Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto as transfer update emerges
Leeds United could lose both Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto in the same transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
The online source reported [24 July] that, with both players being linked with Elland Road exits this summer, the sale of one will not necessarily prevent the other from departing as well.
Summerville has attracted attention from several European clubs, with West Ham one of the latest to register an interest [Fabrizio Romano], while Gnonto could finally get his move to Everton [Yorkshire Evening Post].
Leeds United set to lose Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto
Both players showed incredible talent throughout the 2023/24 campaign, which was always going to be an issue if Leeds were unable to secure promotion to the Premier League.
After losing the Championship play-off final to Southampton at Wembley Stadium, thoughts inside the Elland Road boardroom will have instantly turned to which players could be leaving this summer.
Archie Gray and Glen Kamara have already found new homes in Tottenham and Rennes, respectively, and they are not expected to be the final deals to go through at Elland Road.
Summerville and Gnonto combined for a total of 27 Championship goals last term, lighting up the division as the Whites narrowly missed out on promotion to Leicester City, Ipswich Town and the Saints.
The latter has been heavily linked with a move away before, nearly ending his Leeds career after handing in a transfer request last summer and refusing to play for Daniel Farke.
However, once issues had been resolved, the Italian winger came back into the side and became an important member of the starting XI, though not quite as important as Summerville.

The Dutchman was Leeds’ Player of the Season, and rightly so, notching 21 goals and 10 assists in all competitions and prompting interest from multiple clubs.
It was always going to be difficult to keep either of the duo this summer, and now both could end up leaving, something that would represent a huge blow to the Whites’ promotion hopes.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been handed a Jesurun Rak-Sakyi loan boost after a new transfer update.
