Leeds United could do Almeria a favour after reaching agreement for Largie Ramazani transfer

Leeds United could be offering a huge help to Almeria this summer following the agreement on a deal to sign Largie Ramazani, according to AS.

The Spanish publication reported on page 19 of its print edition [22 August] that, having settled on a fee in the region of £10m with Leeds, Almeria will also receive 15% of the winger’s resale value when he eventually departs Elland Road.

Almeria are looking to recoup funds to be able to register Nico Melamed to play in La Liga, the club’s new signing from Espanyol.

Despite Daniel Farke admitting it was unlikely the club would have any further incomings available to face Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, the club are aiming to wrap up the deal by Thursday afternoon in order to register Ramazani for an immediate debut [Yorkshire Evening Post, 21 August].

Leeds United finally about to make another signing

Barring any 11th-hour snags, Leeds United are set to very soon unveil their new man, who is capable of operating across the front line but will provide much-needed cover out wide to Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James.

Ramazani, 23, was an academy product at Manchester United and did make one senior appearance for Leeds’ bitter rivals, in the Europa League in 2019.

The forward has gone from strength to strength since rejecting a contract extension at Old Trafford and moving to Spain, and is expected to leave Almeria having played the last of his 127 games for the club.

The signing of Ramazani will be Leeds’ first in over a month, having last brought in a first-team player on 20 July when Jayden Bogle arrived from Sheffield United.

With Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter both departing in lucrative Premier League switches since then, Leeds fans have been crying out for capable cover in the squad and further adequate replacements remain needed.
