Leeds United confident of signing No 1 left-back target, deal in the works
Leeds United are “quietly confident” of signing their number one left-back target despite competition from elsewhere, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The newspaper reports that while no new deals are imminent at Elland Road, the Whites are working on a move to sign a new left-back.
The left-back’s identity has not been revealed but the YEP has previously reported that it’s not Romain Perraud, Owen Wijndal, Javi Galan or Alex Grimaldo.

No name? Good news
We’re yet to hear the identity of the mystery left-back who’s at the top of Leeds’ list for this summer but that’s good news.
It shows that while the YEP are able to dig information out of Leeds on their pursuit of new players, they are not able to find out too many details.
Leeds, it seem, have plugged their leaks and are protecting themselves in the transfer market rather than appeasing fans.

Some supporters might be frustrated by the lack of process in the transfer market so far but most clubs are yet to make a new signing.
The European Championships are no doubt holding some deals up and once they’re over, we could see a domino effect with money trickling over to other clubs.
Leeds do have money but what’s the rush when pre-season doesn’t start yet?
We’d like to see players coming in sooner rather than later but a new left-back should be the first man through the door with Ezgjan Alioski yet to agree a new contract.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to smash their transfer record to sign this central midfielder.
