Leeds United concerns dismissed after inside information on Harry Gray
Leeds United may have a dilemma with Harry Gray next summer.
The 17-year-old is expected to be the next big thing at the Whites, carrying on his family's legacy in LS11.
Over the last two seasons, the young attacker has spent time away from the West Yorkshire outfit to gain regular first-team football.
Gray is currently on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and doubts have been raised about his future at Elland Road.
The England Under-19 international hasn't had the best start at the League One club, failing to score in his first six appearances.
With the Peacocks looking to take a big leap forward in the coming years and potentially challenge for Europe, there's concern around the wonderkid's prospects at the club.
What's being said about Harry Gray at Leeds United
Leeds have settled on a strategy for Gray and will hope it bears fruit in the future.
There was little chance of the striker playing for the Whites in the Premier League this season and moving to a historic club like Sheffield Wednesday for guaranteed minutes makes sense.
Jonny Buchan read out what one fan wrote into Don't Go To Bed Just Yet, claiming to have inside information from someone connected to the club.
The person with links to the West Yorkshire outfit is said to have suggested that Gray wasn't, and never would be, at a level to compete for a first-team spot at Elland Road.
With the weight of his family's name on the young forward's shoulders at the Peacocks, the supporter advised them to sell him next summer.
Speaking on the podcast on 5 October, BBC Radio Leeds' Adam Pope responded, "I've seen this before when players have been brought into a certain point of a club's evolution and it's a massive leap.
"I understand the fear there. If you have got the talent and the drive, which I think Harry has, then I think there's every possibility he comes back and he's a part of Leeds going forward. He's really, really young.
"They have grown up around it all with the Gray name, which is a positive thing. I don't think it's an issue. Harry has got a lot of personality as a young guy.
"That's why he wanted to go out and play football. Fair play, back your talent. He'll come good."
Why Harry Gray could be in better position than most think
Gray has an opportunity to prove himself at Sheffield Wednesday this season.
If the striker picks up the pace at Hillsborough and ends up starring for the South Yorkshire club, there's no reason why the Whites wouldn't want to include him in their first-team plans.
As things stand, Daniel Farke has just two natural strikers in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
The German attacker is in the final year of his contract at Elland Road and could leave as a free agent soon.
If Nmecha leaves, the West Yorkshire outfit will definitely need to bolster their forward line.
The Peacocks could also keep hold of Gray as their third-choice striker if they think he's ready to take the leap in the Premier League.
At the moment, all the youngster can do is prove his credentials in League One.
