Leeds United backed to sign six more players with one multi-million deal already done
Leeds United need to sign another six players before the transfer window closes, according to Ray Parlour.
Speaking on TalkSPORT (23 August, 06:57), the former Arsenal midfielder said that time was of the essence for the Whites to bring in several much-needed transfers before the 30 August deadline.
The Whites confirmed the £10.2million signing of Largie Ramazani from Almeria on 22 August, but Parlour believes further additions are needed after selling Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville.
He said: “They’ve lost some big players, haven’t they? They’ve got big money for them, but they probably need at least four players to come in now, maybe four to six players even.
“Time’s running out now for Leeds – they’ve got to really work hard this week, and get people through the door.
“It’s a make-or-break season for Leeds.
“They’ve got some good teams in that division, so you can’t stand still – and if you lose your best players, you’ve got to replace them.”
Leeds United face frantic end to summer transfer window
When it comes to building a squad capable of challenging for – and winning – promotion from the Championship, the Whites have certainly decided to leave things late this summer.
Although their efforts have been hampered by the respective sales of Summerville to West Ham and Rutter to Brighton on the eve of the campaign and during it, a lack of incomings certainly hasn’t helped.

Prior to Ramazani’s signing, 33 days had passed since Jayden Bogle signed on the dotted line from Sheffield United, and that hesitancy to bring in new players has left the club with it all to do.
Daniel Farke reportedly wants another two attacking players on top of Ramazani [Sky Sports, 22 August] – hardly surprising given the output provided by Summerville and Rutter last season – as well as a midfielder and a full-back.
With little over a week of the window left, there is no time for caution at Elland Road, and the transfers must come thick and fast if Farke is to be at the helm of a squad on a par with last season’s.
In other Leeds news, new signing Ramazani’s arrival will help the club to meet an important EFL guideline this season.
