Leeds United Ayase Ueda offer revealed as Feyenoord make decision on future
Leeds United's interest in Ayase Ueda is far from new.
The Whites are in the market for a new centre-forward this window, as they hope to bring in a reliable backup and competitive option for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Ueda first emerged as a possibility for Leeds back in December 2025 and those links have remained ever since.
The Japanese international was a key man for his nation at the most recent World Cup and, alongside his 24-goal Eredivisie tally, will certainly be a target for many.
Ueda also managed to net twice in the World Cup in North America and it seems Leeds' interest has not faded.
Now, information out of the Netherlands has shared the latest on Leeds' pursuit of the striekr.
What has been said about Leeds' pursuit for Ayase Ueda
Leeds could still have hope in the race for Ueda, despite suggestions that an offer elsewhere has been tabled.
According to Dutch outlet, Voetbal International, Fenerbahce have now made a "serious offer" for the Japanese forward.
However, the report also shares that both Leeds United and Brighton had previously "made an offer."
Fenerbahce are now looking to swoop in, taking "decisive action" over the striker.
Feyenoord are also open to allowing Ueda to leave this summer.
Hope for Leeds does still remain with Ueda more keen on a move to England over a switch to Turkey.
Now, it will remain to be seen if the Whites follow up on their interest in the striker, and make another move for his signature.
Who are the other options for Leeds at striker?
Leeds have been linked with many forwards this summer but there has been no concrete movement on any of those targets so far.
It has been said that Leeds are looking for "younger" options on the market, which could explain why the trail on Ueda has gone cold.
Ueda is 27 years old, which would put him towards the middle age group rather than on the younger.
In terms of players that fit that mould, there has only been two options for Daniel Farke emerging.
Nicolo Tresoldi is on Leeds' radar, with the Italian coming in at 21 years old.
Chelsea forward Liam Delap has also been a name mentioned, but links to the 23-year-old have been shot down.
With three weeks left of the window, a more concrete vision of who the Whites want should begin to look clearer.
