Leeds Super Fans ridicule report on Junior Firpo wages

Leeds United are set to announce the new signing of left-back Junior Firpo from Barcelona this week.
Ezgjan Alioski’s exit was confirmed on Monday afternoon, leaving room for the Spanish star to take his place under Marcelo Bielsa.
Victor Orta has already concluded deals for Jack Harrison and Amari Miller, and it appears as though his third could be sorted as early as today.
Shock reports have surfaced as the deal got closer over the weekend.
Gerard Moreno reported that Firpo is making his deal official this week, and will get paid double the salary he receives at Barcelona.
That would put his weekly wages at £170,000, something that appears more than unlikely at Elland Road.
Another left-back could still arrive in West Yorkshire to give back-up for Firpo, and his wages could take it up to that total – it depends on the Spaniard’s intake.
Leif Davis is currently our backup option, but that is if you include Stuart Dallas as just a midfield option from the start of next season.
We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans for their verdict on our Leeds Insider Facebook page this week, and they weren’t pleased.
The majority of them admitted there was “no chance” of the Whites spending this kind of money, especially every single week.
One claimed that could be how much Firpo will be paid every month, and that certainly makes more sense.
