Leeds make contact for Ruben Neves, price tag revealed for ex-Wolves midfielder
Leeds United have enquired about potentially signing Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves in the winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old’s current contract at the Roshn Saudi League club expires at the end of the season, with several renewal offers turned down.
Daniel Farke is hoping to avoid Premier League relegation this season, and fans will surely be delighted to see quality players come through the door in January.
The Profitability and Sustainability Rules may make things difficult at Elland Road, but the West Yorkshire outfit still have their eyes on reinforcements ahead of the new year.

Al-Hilal want £15m for Leeds United target Ruben Neves
Several Premier League clubs are monitoring Neves’ situation at Al Hilal, with Leeds being one of them, according to talkSPORT.
The news outlet reports on 30 December that the Riyadh-based club have offered the midfielder an improved two-year contract, which he’s considering right now.
It’s been claimed that while Simone Inzaghi’s team want the Portuguese ace to stay, they will consider offers worth around £15million if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
Neves enjoyed an exceptional spell in the Premier League with Wolves before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2023.
The Portugal international has played a pivotal role for his national side in recent years, winning two Nations League titles.
While Farke’s priority at Elland Road may be signing a new defender, Neves provides a market opportunity for the West Yorkshire outfit that they shouldn’t miss out on.
Ruben Neves record at Wolves revisited
Neves joined Wolves from FC Porto while they were still in the Championship, which raised eyebrows among many.
The Portuguese midfielder was one of the most promising prospects at that time and eventually won immediate promotion to the Premier League at the Molineux Stadium in the 2017-18 season.
Neves then spent five seasons in the Premier League, with several top teams undoubtedly impressed by his consistent displays at Wolves, where he ended up making 177 appearances in the English top flight.
The midfielder would definitely raise the standards of the West Yorkshire outfit’s squad, and fans will hope Paraag Marathe can get a deal over the line.
