Leeds United are planning for the January transfer window with Daniel Farke in place.

Farke was under immense pressure of the sack only last week at Elland Road, but the Whites enjoyed an immense seven days in the Premier League.

Starting with a close defeat at Manchester City, Leeds went on to smash Chelsea and secure a dramatic last-gasp 3-3 draw versus Liverpool.

After swatting away that danger, Farke now has eyes on January.

PSR updates ahead of January

Leeds spent over £100million in the summer, with PSR maxxed out at Elland Road.

Despite this, Graham Smyth has shared that no January exits are being lined up in LS11, with no players expected to leave at this moment.

Writing in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Smyth shared that Farke is thoroughly involved in transfer plans, with loans planned over permanent transfers at this stage.

For Leeds to spend significantly next month, they would need to sell.

Who has been linked with Leeds already?

The wildest link so far has been Leeds possibly signing Raheem Sterling.

Another option from Chelsea is Tyrique George, who would likely be a much more likely signing on loan, given his emergence through the ranks at Stamford Bridge.

It is clear that Leeds are looking for more options in the final third, with their new system using two strikers.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha have thrived with the change, but with Nmecha now injured at Elland Road, Joel Piroe is the only other option.

Noah Okafor has since been preferred in his absence, but with possible changes to the system now at play, another striker would be massively handy.

We could see a couple of new loans coming in January, and with the possibility to include options and obligations to buy based on survival, Leeds have options in the market.
