Leeds learn Harry Wilson fate as conclusive news shared about last-ditch deal

Leeds United have been working frantically to get a late deal for Harry Wilson over the line.

The transfer window has been shut for well over an hour now, and yet Leeds have ended deadline day the same way that they have started it, as things stand.

Despite an attempt to bring Emi Buendia to Elland Road, Leeds failed to secure the Argentinians signature, which led them to Wilson.

Leeds had an official loan approach for Wilson turned down, before returning with a permanent offer, with a new update emerging as to whether the Whites have managed to get it through in time.

Leeds fail in attempt to bring Harry Wilson to Elland Road

It is looking like it will be a deadline day to forget for the Whites, with BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella reporting via X that the deal for Wilson to join Leeds has fallen through.

As for why, it isn’t entirely known, though Fulham have seemingly pulled out of the deal at the last minute, and the blame stays with Leeds.

Daniel Farke made it clear he wanted attacking signings at Leeds this week, and the 49ers have failed to deliver on those demands, despite having plenty of time.

It was reported that Leeds made a late approach for Gus Hamer, though, once again, that deal is looking like it may have been a non-starter, and given the timing, it is hardly surprising.

Farkew now has to make do with the options he has in the Premier League, though, with just one goal scored in their opening three games, concerns are going to linger over Elland Road.

Elland Road fears will grow, 49ers have no one to blame aside from themselves

Well, that seems like that could be it.

Illan Meslier was linked with an exit from Leeds in the dying stages of the window, and that is looking like the only deal that could still go through.

Premier League clubs have until 9pm to finalise any deals, though that is assuming they were able to submit a deal sheet before the deadline.

Fears are going to grow now, and with the international break upon us, there will be nothing to subdue them until the Whites return to action.
