Daniel Farke will be pulling his hair out as Leeds edge closer to the transfer deadline.

It's been a mixed start to life back in the Premier League, with Leeds United's 0-0 draw with Newcastle a showcase of their concerns.

The Whites have scored just one goal so far this season, with Lukas Nmecha dispatching the winning penalty for Leeds against Everton.

United are in the market for attacking reinforcements, and they have now received an answer after an approach was made for a Premier League forward.

Fulham reject transfer approach from Leeds United

After Leeds failed in their hunt to sign Emi Buendia, attention immediately turned elsewhere, with the 49ers scrambling to get a deal over the line before 7pm.

Harry Wilson emerged as a target for Leeds United, but according to Alex Crook via X, Fulham have rejected a loan approach.

The Welsh international has been a regular for Fulham since joining from Liverpool in 2022, and only last year, Craig Bellamy compared him to Luis Suarez.

As quoted by BBC Sport in November 2024, Bellamy said: "He is so strong and he’s streetwise like the South Americans. I played with Suarez, Tevez and Mascherano, and the way they used their bodies was amazing.

"Harry uses his body in that way, and if you get too tight to him, you foul him. His smartness and how he is able to press, his intensity and what he is able to do, really tell me how good a player he is."

Wilson has featured four times for Fulham this season, but has yet to register a goal contribution with an exit now on the cards.

How much would Harry Wilson cost Leeds United?

It's unknown at this point whether Leeds would have to pay a fee to land Wilson on loan, though they would have to cover some of his wages.

Via Capology, Wilson earns a reported £35,000 per week at Craven Cottage, which, for a player of his quality and experience, would be a splash in the ocean for Leeds.

In fact, Jack Harrison remains their highest earner on a reported £90,000 a week, with summer signing Noah Okafor not far behind him.

Manor Solomon could yet return to Leeds in the next few hours, as the search for attacking arrivals goes on.
