Leeds forward on verge of wrapping up permanent Elland Road exit
Leeds United loanee Sonny Perkins is set to complete a permanent switch to Leyton Orient, according to Leeds Live.
The online outlet reported on 28 January that the 20-year-old is set to make his temporary move a full-time deal for an undisclosed fee with a substantial sell-on clause.
A move is expected to be finalised quickly before the 3 February deadline for the forward whose contract expires at Elland Road in the summer.
Leeds United to sell Sonny Perkins to Leyton Orient
The former England under-19s international completed a move to the League One outfit in the summer and has impressed so far this campaign.
Despite making just eight starts, the versatile attacker has contributed four goal involvements in the league with his side sitting in seventh place.
As a result, this move makes sense from a career perspective for the ex-West Ham youngster as he searches for regular minutes.
This was never going to be a true prospect at Elland Road given the riches available to Daniel Farke in forward areas since coming in as manager.

With the Whites also striving for promotion to the Premier League, the quality needed to achieve that goal is a step or two above Perkins right now.
There will be hope in LS11 that the youngster can hit the ground running for Orient when he completes a permanent switch which may see Leeds benefit from his sell-on clause in the future.
