Leeds could sign star who Jamie Vardy once described as ‘unbelievable’
Leeds United could add a player who Jamie Vardy rates very highly this summer.
The Elland Road outfit have already brought seven new players in for their return to the Premier League after a two-year absence.
The likes of Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach have been signed, in an attempt to help Daniel Farke in his aim of staying in the division.
However, the 49ers need to spend even more than the near £80million that they have already forked out if that is to be a realistic possibility.

Vardy is a fan of potential new Leeds man El Khannouss
Leeds have made their move for Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester, who boasts Vardy as a fan after the two played together for the Foxes last season.
The Whites have made their willingness to meet his £24.5m release clause clear, and a transfer could progress in the next few days.
El Khannouss scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win over West Ham in December 2024, and he was wearing Vardy’s lucky socks while doing so.
Speaking to Amazon Prime after the contest (3 December), the famous England striker lauded the 21-year-old, saying: “It’s unbelievable, we know what qualities he has got, he does it every day in training.
“For him to get his first goal, definitely going to be the first of many.”
El Khannouss would be a brilliant addition for Leeds
The young attacking midfielder would be a top-quality signing for the LS11 outfit, as they need more firepower to help their survival bid.
He can also feature as a deeper midfielder or from the left flank, so he would give Farke versatility in multiple areas.
Stats (Premier League) | El Khannouss |
Goals | 2 |
Assists | 3 |
Dribble success rate | 59.6% |
Chances created | 42 |
The former Genk man is known for his technical ability and is able to dribble past opposition defenders in tight spaces, which could be a crucial asset for the Peacocks.
He is intelligent in his movement and can find space to receive the ball, as well as being extremely composed in his decision-making when on the ball.
His signing would spell danger for Brenden Aaronson, who was unconvincing in his last stint in the top-flight, with just one goal and three assists.
The 22-cap Morocco international notched two goals and three assists last season, better than the American’s tally, in a considerably worse team.
