Largie Ramazani is Valencia’s last resort as Carlos Corberan stance emerges on Leeds winger

Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani's future may be complicated by Carlos Corberan.

The Belgian worked under the 43-year-old on loan with Valencia last season, notching six goals and two assists in 31 matches.

The player is understood to want to return to the Mestalla this summer, with it being apparent that he is not part of Daniel Farke's plans.

He would have been expected to have already left Elland Road by this point in the transfer window, but that has not happened yet.

The Black and Whites were the most likely destination for his signature, although it may not be as simple as once thought.

Corberan's stance on him is definitely playing a part in that, as is the LS11 outfit's intentions.

Leeds want a straight sale, rather than sanction another loan for the former Almeria man.

A report from Marca on Monday claims that Leeds are looking for £6.8m and will not accept different arrangements.

It states that Corberan is not keen on the Whites winger, as he was not happy with him when he "disappeared" from the team.

It is understood that the former Peacocks assistant coach will not force through a move for the 25-year-old, but will turn to him if his preferred options do not materialise.

Given the fact that Corberan is not keen, it is claimed that the Belgian is a last resort for the six-time La Liga champions, as it is better the devil that you know.

Why Leeds can still get rid of Ramazani despite Valencia's hesitance

Leeds can still expect a resolution to Ramazani's situation shortly, despite Corberan's unwillingness to take him.

That is because Los Ches are not the team that he could sign for in the coming weeks.

Radio Marca claimed on 10 August that there are several unnamed clubs in the race to sign him, and that there will be advances that will "bear fruit".

Farke will be keen to get him off the books, and potentially get more funds in to strengthen his squad before the Premier League season kicks off later this month.

Therefore, an agreement will have to be reached soon with one of the interested teams, if that is to be the case.
