Karl Darlow's best three Leeds United moments as exit finally confirmed
Karl Darlow has had his fair share of stellar moments with Leeds United.
The Wales international completed an Elland Road switch in a 2023 switch from Newcastle United.
He hardly featured in his debut campaign as he remained a back-up option to Illan Meslier.
That did continue into his second year before a number of high-profile errors from the Frenchman gave him a chance.
The 35-year-old then played a key role in getting the Whites promoted before re-claiming his number one shirt from Lucas Perri in the Premier League.
Darlow has now called time on his time in Yorkshire to join Manchester United, but that won't stop fans from looking back at his best moments.
Karl Darlow stunned Manchester United
It is controversial to swap Elland Road for Old Trafford, but in this instance it is actually rather ironic.
Darlow has now completed a move to Man United after his contract came to an end, as previously covered by MOT Leeds News.
Arguably Darlow's best performance of last campaign came away to the Red Devils.
The Yorkshire outfit sealed a 2-1 win away to the 20-time Premier League champions and the keeper played a massive role in that.
He may have conceded one, but made six saves and prevented 0.80 expected goals on the night.
That was all made better by his two punches, two clearances, one high claim and 10 recoveries.
It appears he caught the eye of Michael Carrick and Co. that day as he has now completed a move to Old Trafford.
That Darlow save vs Wolves won't be forgotten
The shot-stopper has made some miraculous saves for the Whites over the years.
Arguably his best came last season as Elland Road played host to Wolves.
An Old Gold corner came in and was met by a glancing Ladislav Krejci header that looked destined for the back of the net.
Darlow showed unbelievably quick reflexes to palm the ball over the bar and out for another corner.
He certainly deserved the standing ovation from the Elland Road faithful as it was a truly magnificent stop.
That summed up his season in LS11, making it all the more frustrating that he has left for Man United.
Darlow helped Leeds to Championship title
Leeds avoided relegation back to the second tier last time around, but had previously looked to be stuck in the Championship again.
After Daniel Farke missed out on promotion in his first campaign, he simply had to secure it in his second.
He did exactly that, but without Darlow, he probably wouldn't have lifted the title.
The Welshman was called upon for the final seven games of the season to replace Meslier and it worked out perfectly.
He was superb for the Whites and played a key role in the most important part of the year.
That all culminated in him lifting the Championship trophy at Home Park after a last-minute win against Plymouth Argyle.
Darlow will be remembered for all his excellent moments in LS11, even if it stings for him to move to Old Trafford like this.
