Junior Firpo set to jet into UK and undergo Leeds United medical
Leeds United are today (Tuesday) thrashing out the final details of a £12.8million move for Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo, according to AS.
The Spanish news outlet claims that by the end of the day, all agreements should be sealed between Leeds, Barcelona and the 24-year-old and his agent Sufiel Abdelkader.
It is understood that they will also plan Firpo’s medical, which will take place in Leeds.

AS adds that it’s now “almost impossible” for the agreement to be broken.
It’s not done yet
Someone needs to tell AS about Daniel James and Michael Cuisance.
They were basically done deals for Leeds before Swansea backed out of letting James join the Yorkshire club at the last minute and last year, Cuisance failed a medical with the Premier League side.
We’re not immune to seeing this deal for Firpo fall apart but it does seem more likely that he’ll become the newest addition at Leeds United than not.

Leeds had to sign a new left-back this summer.
Ezgjan Alioski’s contract is set to expire this week and although it’s been widely reported a new deal is on the table, there’s no need for Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa to wait around.
Firpo is undoubtedly an improvement on Alioski, who isn’t even a natural left-back and seems to play better in a more advanced role on the wing.
Dominican Republic-born Firpo can play in an attacking role on the left but he’s far more accustomed to the left-back position than Alioski ever was.
He should be a huge upgrade and for £12.8million, we have to applaud Leeds for what seems like a very astute piece of business – if it goes through.
In other Leeds United news, the club is in advanced talks for another new signing this week.
