Jack Harrison reacts when asked about his future at Leeds United amid £20m Newcastle United development
Jack Harrison failed to confirm he’ll remain a Leeds United player by the time the transfer window closes with speculation swirling around his future lately.
Harrison, 25, has been linked with a move to Newcastle, who are reportedly considering a £20million bid for the ex-Manchester City winger this summer [Daily Mail].
Leeds lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in a pre-season friendly in Australia on Sunday (17 July) and after the match, Harrison suggested that he’s not certain on what the future holds for him.

As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, when questioned about his future, Harrison said: “We’ll see what happens.”
Jesse Marsch then said: “There has always been interest in Jack, like many of our players, but I know that Jack is also very happy here and that he’s done a really good job that is a big part of what we’re doing.
“Of course, there’s always possibilities that that big transfer offers come in and then you always have to as clubs decide how it fits and what are the best options moving forward.
“But for me, Jack Harrison is a big part of our plans moving forward and we’re counting on him this season for sure.”

Weird thing to say
Footballers never really give away too much in their interviews.
They’re usually always watered down and answers to questions are pre-determined by the club’s media staff.
Leeds must’ve known Harrison would have been asked about his future and in order to avoid annoying Leeds and any club that’s trying to sign him, the winger’s reply was as cryptic as it gets.
“We’ll see.”
It’s a weird thing to say and we’d love to hear some transparency because what’s the point in covering up stuff that’s already been reported in the newspapers?
If Harrison is interested in joining Newcastle, just say it. It’ll be hard for a lot of fans to stomach but at least he’ll be honest and we’ll know where we’re at.
We all expected Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha to move on but Harrison’s future does feel as though it’s up in the air.
Will he stay or will he go?
Leeds should do their best to not let that happen but if a big enough bid comes in you’d imagine an offer will be accepted by the big-spending Whites.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are on the verge of winning the race to sign this player amid a £96,000-a-week development.
