Inter Milan not in talks to sign Tyler Adams in Leeds United transfer news

Inter Milan are not currently in talks to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United, according to a fresh update from the reliable Fabrizio Romano.

The Whites midfielder had a sensational World Cup tournament as captain of the United States national team, helping them to a knockout stage defeat to the Netherlands after they qualified from the group impressively.

His performances have seen him talked up a lot and there had been some rumours that Serie A giants Inter were circling for a potential transfer, but Romano took to his Caught Offside substack (6 December) to settle those rumours quickly.

“Inter Milan are not in talks to sign Tyler Adams as things stand,” he wrote.

“I’m sure Leeds will try to keep him, they love Tyler as a player but also I’m told they love his attitude in the dressing room.

“It always depends on the proposals, we will see; too early to say. But I think he’s very good player with a top future.”

Brilliant

Whenever you hear that one of Europe’s footballing heavyweights are interested in a player at a club like Leeds United, you start to assume the worst is going to happen.

But considering we were able to sign Adams in the summer just gone and he’s been sensational for us ever since pulling on the white shirt, we knew it wouldn’t be as straight forward as someone just swooping him away so quickly.

At 23 there is still plenty of improvement to come from Adams and Leeds is the perfect place for him to develop and get better before either taking us to the level he wants to be playing at, or moving on to play elsewhere.

We’ve seen this model plenty of times, including most recently with Raphinha and Barcelona, but the fact that Leeds are able to consistently find these gems to keep the squad ticking over and competing is great.

Now we can focus on pulling away from the relegation zone once the season resumes after the World Cup, firmly trusting that Adams is going absolutely nowhere.
