'I hope this is true', 'Oh my word' – Some Leeds fans react as attacker issues come and get me
Leeds United are getting linked with a lot of players after securing promotion to the Premier League but one of the most exciting is 19-year-old Thiago Almada.
We've always said that Marcelo Bielsa will be a big draw for players – especially for young players looking to light their careers up – and Almada himself came out with a big claim following the links to the club.
Velez Sarsfield attacker Almada was linked to Leeds by Chilean news outlet Al Aire Libre.
And after being asked about the speculation, Argentina Under-20 star Almada said, "I would like to be managed by Bielsa." [TyC Sports]
One scouting account on Twitter said he's a "Bielsa-esque" player who would be an "amazing signing" for Leeds.
Leeds fans would love to see him at Elland Road next season. He's been described as the "new Messi" but one supporter said that was a "lazy" comparison and said he "reminds me of Pablo Hernandez." That will do for us.
Another Leeds fans asked if Almada had a Twitter account so he could @ him until he signs.
Another just said of the declaration, "Oh my word."
Almada has been making waves on Football Manager for a while now – he's one of the 'cheat' players gamers sign to get a headstart in the game.
That's where some Leeds fans know him from and that's enough to convince them that an Elland Road move would be amazing.
It's been said that Leeds will focus on the Championship but of all the overseas players that we've been linked with, Almada is the one we'd love to sign.
That's the overwhelming view from Leeds fans too...
