Has Ian Poveda just let the cat out of the bag about Ben White and Leeds United?
Amid wild celebrations at Elland Road last night, after Leeds were presented with the Championship trophy, Poveda posted a long video on his Instagram page.
One Leeds fan posted a short clip from the video, featuring Poveda and Ben White.

In the clip, Poveda turns to Ben White and says, “Ben White here, he got the goal… and he’s staying.”
White scored a screamer in the 4-0 demolition job of Charlton last night – his first goal for the club in his last game, with his loan deal now expired.

Will White stay?
Leeds fans are desperate for Ben White to sign on a permanent deal and would even love another season-long loan.
Phil Hay delivered fresh hope when he said that Liverpool might not have the fund to pursue a deal.
And some Leeds fans were clinging onto Poveda’s video as proof that the centre-back will indeed be at Elland Road next season.
Judging by the state of Poveda – we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he’s ‘excited’ – we’re not sure this is a binding declaration.
However, the really interesting bit of the video is when someone off-camera makes a ‘shushing’ noise after Poveda makes his claim.
We have to believe that there’s a decent chance that Ben White will come back next season – especially if Liverpool don’t come in for him.
He’s settled at Leeds, friends with Kalvin Phillips, knows he’ll play week-in, week-out and his career has gone through the roof under Bielsa.
For Leeds, the continuity this would bring into the first season of the Premier League can’t be overstated.
