The goalkeeper transfer mill keeps moving with Leeds United linked with Konstantinos Tzolakis now.

The 23-year-old, who is currently playing for Olympiacos has emerged as a potential option for Daniel Farke.

Much of the transfer talk for the Whites has been surrounding the number one position.

Zion Suzuki has mainly taken centre stage, although others such as Jacob Widell Zetterstrom are on the radar as well.

However, when it comes Tzolakis, there may already be proof that he would soak up the pressure that being a Premier League goalkeeper takes.

And that came in one of the most historic seasons for Olympiacos.

What has been said about Leeds' interest in Konstantinos Tzolakis?

Reports of Leeds' interest in Tzolakis have emerged out of his home country Greece.

According to one of Greece's biggest sports media outlets, Sport24, Leeds have been looking at Tzolakis.

But, the Elland Road side are not alone in their pursuit with Brighton, Coventry and Aston Villa all in the mix as well.

While the report shares that Olympiacos are not currently intending to sell the goalkeeper, they could be tempted into a sale if an offer above €25million (£21.3million) arrives.

As things stands, the Whites only have Lucas Perri among their ranks as a goalkeeper, and with pre-season games nearing, they will likely want that resolved as quickly as possible.

The one performance that set Tzolakis' career trajectory trending up

There likely won't be many Leeds fans who know much about Tzolakis, but his major career break came towards the end of Olympiacos' historic Conference League success.

In the 2023-2024 season, Olympiacos won the first ever European trophy by a Greek side.

In that season, Tzolakis was a bit-part player, making just 16 appearances across all competitions.

However, his performance in Europe, particuraly against Fenerbahce in the quarter-finals would flip that on its head.

As Olympiacos and the Turkish giants were tied after two legs, the game would be sent to penalties.

And Tzolakis was the hero, saving three of the Istanbul outfits attempts.

From that moment on, despite being an inexperienced player at the senior level, Tzolakis had marked his territory as the number one goalkeeper.

And he would be further crucial in the semi-final against Aston Villa and in the final itself.

But, having the confidence and nerve as a young goalkeeper to push your side to a historic trophy truly says it all about the Leeds target's character.

So, based on that, he may not have much problem taking to the lights of the Premier League.
