How Leeds United have been backed into corner over 'extreme' Largie Ramazani exit
Leeds United may be forced to accept a lower fee than they would have liked for Largie Ramazani.
The 25-year-old is not part of Daniel Farke's plans and has been told he can leave this summer.
Ramazani spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he impressed, and has been strongly linked with a return.
However, as the days tick down towards the transfer window closing in less than two weeks' time, the winger remains on Leeds' books.
That is something both the player and the club want to change before it is too late.
But reports coming out of Spain suggest Leeds may have to change their initial plans.
How much will Leeds land for Largie Ramazani sale?
Valencia are eager to sign Ramazani, either on another loan deal or permanently.
The problem, however, is Leeds have no intention of letting him go out on loan again.
As per a report from Super Deporte on Thursday, Leeds have only ever wanted to sell Ramazani this summer.
Valencia have not been willing to pay the sum Leeds have held firm over up to this point.
However, Valencia are hopeful Leeds' stance will now soften as they know their options are limited.
Valencia are confident they can sign Ramazani for a fee of £4.3million or lower.
The situation is said to be at an "extreme" point now as time is running out to conclude a deal.
And it may well be that Farke has knocked a couple of million off Ramazani's price tag.
Daniel Farke comments not helping Leeds over Ramazani sale
Farke has made clear Ramazani is not part of his plans. That is entirely fair, with the German not wanting to give the 25-year-old false hope.
But the same report states that Farke's openness about Leeds not wanting Ramazani actually works in Valencia's favour when it comes to negotiating.
The only way United's bargaining power would increase is if another side comes in for Ramazani, which just does not look like happening.
It was not long ago Farke hailed Ramazani a "perfect team member".
Any hope of the former Belgium Under-21s international being integrated back into the Leeds' squad is over, with the only question being just how much money the Whites can raise.
