Harry Gray exit verdict emerges at Leeds United as clubs set to queue up for transfer

Aaron Lennon believes “everyone” will want to sign Harry Gray after what he saw of the teenager during his time at Leeds United.

The 15-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham [Graeme Bailey, 11 September], featured for the Whites’ first team during pre-season but picked up an injury that rooted him to the treatment table.

Although talkSPORT pundit Lennon was reluctant to heap too much praise on the young forward, he did admit that his talent is “frightening” and expects plenty of clubs queuing up to secure his services.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Friday (18 October, 9:07) he said: “Honestly, I was working back at Leeds last season and honestly, he is ridiculous.

“He’s frightening, a number 10, number nine. Honestly, I don’t want to talk him up too much because I think everyone will want him, he’s that good.

“He’s probably the best thing I’ve seen in years.”

Who is Leeds United youngster Harry Gray at Elland Road?

While the majority of Leeds United supporters would have seen next to nothing of Harry Gray in Whites colours, they will be hoping that he is at least close to the same level as his brother Archie who lit Elland Road up last term.

Although Daniel Farke has been quick to play down comparisons between the two brothers, the German manager won’t give any old young player a chance. He must have been impressed by Harry to throw him in during pre-season.

Of course, there is still a long way to go before the teenager establishes himself as a first-team player, let alone attracts the attention of the Premier League’s big boys, but that could well happen sooner than initially expected.

Hopefully, Leeds will manage to keep his “frightening” talent under wraps so that he doesn’t exit Elland Road too soon.

It would be a shame if the Whites lost both Gray brothers before they’ve really made their mark in Leeds colours.
